Hello friends and Happy New Year!
I’ve been remiss about posting for the last couple weeks not only because it seemed like I had one holiday function after another, after another to attend, but also because when I didn’t have to go out, it was too hard to forego a cozy Netflix evening in favour of baking something when I didn’t really feel like it.
I think if I’m going to be happy with this blog, and enjoy doing it, then I shouldn’t post something just because I feel like I have to. 9 times out of 10, if I feel forced to do something, it’s EXTREMELY likely I’ll procrastinate doing it until it (hopefully) goes away haha. I’ve also found that when I bake something when I’m not really in the zone, the goodies don’t taste quite right and the photos are a bit lackluster.
But it’s a new year now, and it occurred to me that although I haven’t baked anything lately, I wanted to let you all know that I’m still here, and I still plan on making this blog a thing. It also occurred to me that if I want to reach out to the blogging community and join in a bit, some blog posts that don’t necessarily contain a recipe might be more manageable than trying a new recipe every single week (especially since my tasting guinea pigs are all going to be dieting for the next month or so!)
So yes, in the coming weeks I’ll be working hard to make blogging a habit, but expect some healthier, simpler recipes until everyone is finished with their dieting nonsense 🙂
